Roger Wilson, President

Roger began his business career with Xerox Corporation. From 1984 to 1991 Roger served as Inc. Magazine’s business manager, conference director and then group sponsorship services director for both Inc. and Business Month magazines. Prior to founding The Conference Department in 1996, Roger served as executive director of the Venture Capital Network (now Technology Capital Network) at MIT and as vice president of World Information Systems, a newsletter publisher and conference producer.

In addition to his role with The Conference Department Roger is active in local government, serving as an elected Town Meeting member and as a member of the Finance Committee in Winchester, MA. He is an advisor to Northern Woodlands Magazine. He is a board member and Treasurer of the Jenckes Foundation, dedicated to land conservation and a board member of the Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy. Roger has written for Career Futures Magazine, Environmental Testing and Analysis Magazine and the Boston Globe. His freelance editorial clients have included Van Nostrand Reinhold, Business One Irwin, and the American Management Association. He has served as a volunteer consultant to non-profit agencies with the Community Consulting Team.

He is a graduate of Williams College and received an MBA with dual concentrations in Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
